The Queens Chapter of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers, Inc. (NYSSPE) is a non-profit organization devoted to the promotion of the engineering profession. We are the local chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) serving the Queens borough of New York City. We hold monthly meetings from September through June which include informative talks and facility tours.

NSPE is the only professional society which represents Professional Engineers across all engineering disciplines and all employment areas: Construction, Education, Government, Industry and Private Practice. If you are a PE registered in New York State, an EIT, or an engineering student at one of the colleges in our area, you are invited to join our chapter, state and national organizations and help promote the profession! NYSSPE to sue NYC !

The New York State Society of Professional Engineers has voted to sue NYC over the passage of Into 755A by the New York City Council. Intro 755A eliminating the requirement for the Commissioner of the Department of Buildings to be a licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect. The Queens Chapter is raising funds for the Legal Fund.

Upcoming Events

Our meetings are held at Fort Totten, typically on the fourth Thursday of the month. The meetings start at 6:30 PM and are catered by our sponsors. There is a continuing education seminar given at every meeting that is free for our NSPE members. The cost is $25 to non-members for the PDH certificate.
