URGENT !

This is our darkest hour as design professionals. The Mayor and the City Council are planning to marginalize our profession as Architects and Engineers. The elimination of the the need for a PE or RA as head of the Department of Buildings places our licenses and our ethics in the hands of the unlicensed. With all of the recent laws passed that have increased the authority of the Commissioner over those who practice in NYC, this is unforgivable.

The following are letters sent to the Mayor and the City Council

Robert Stelianou PE, NYSSPE President

Marc A. Chiffert PE, New York Chapter NYSSPE President

Alan Weinstein RA, AIA Queens Chapter President
