The Queens Chapter of the New York State
Society of Professional Engineers, Inc. (NYSSPE) is a non-profit organization
devoted to the promotion of the engineering profession. We are the local chapter
of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) serving the Queens
borough of New York City. We hold monthly meetings from September through
June which include informative talks and facility tours. |

Piping Options, Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasures;(SPC Updates ). Get up to date information on the latest fuel storage codes, standards and applications for NYC work.

Our meetings are held at Fort Totten, typically on the fourth Thursday of the month. The meetings start at 6:30 PM and are catered by our sponsors.
There is a continuing education seminar given at every meeting. The cost is $15 for our NSPE members and $25 to non-members.

Engineering Marvels in Queens
Designed by Gilmore D. Clarke, the Unisphere was engineered, fabricated, and donated to the fair by the United States Steel Corporation (USS). Its components were manufactured by the company's American Bridge Division at Ambridge and Harrisburg, Pa., and assembled at the World's Fair site.
